thanks to my good friend Fred West today he unloaded a 4 seat berrien cruiser frame in my drive way and told me to get it built, we will work out the details later. so the call was made for the building of the rear suspension, long talk with my son James Whelpley Jr. about the front suspension, and what kind of power is going in it, at this time we have it down to a couple of different options, but nothing set in stone either a built 3 rib bus trans with 4.56 final drive and the 1.8 turbo motor out of the green corrado, (this car has been in excess of 140mph so it is a high winding motor) the other option on the table is a 3.88 built trans with a turbo deisle vw big torque but not the high rpm of the corrado engine. with the deisle we are talking bio deisle capibulities. what ever we do in the tradition of jims buggy parts it will be different than any thing else we have built. i am glad to have fred and jim jr. on board for this one.
