the next/third in my series, the temple of amun-raa at karnak in luxor on the east bank of the nile river is the second-largest religious complex in the world after angkor wat in cambodia --- seeing the vast temple-complex in a day just-isnt enough; at least 2 days are required to view the site completely --- i did so alone in august-2004, after traveling by myself in a train in second class from cairo --- of the 4 pic/s below-(scroll right)-, the second & third are those of the temple of amun-raa at karnak --- the last/fourth is a hieroglyph on a temple-structure with the names of a king inscribed in the ovals calld cartouches --- theyre of the pharaoh senosret, stated in the cartouche at the right, with the royal name kheper-ka-raa meaning the chosen of the god ra, in the one beside it in the center --- see the comment below for a link to an egyptian-arabic music-video
