the report of Colonel Cassad 22/09/14 MILITARY SITUATION: During the day the situation wasnt substantially changed and remained tense. The Ukrainian military continued to regroup their forces with the goal of occupying advantageous frontiers and also fortified the occupied positions With the goal of accusing the militia in violation of agreements that were achieved during negotiations of the contact group in Minsk, the Ukrainian forces provoked the protectors of Novorossia to initiate military action several times, however they failed to achieve their goals. At 11 hours and 10 minutes, two tanks and three IFVs of the AFU approached direct pointing range from the side of the settlement of Slavnoye (DPR), provoking the protectors of Donbass to open fire on them. After the DPR militia fighters fired several warning shots in the air, demonstrating their readiness to protect their line, the vehicles of Ukrainian security forces retreated to the positions that they occupied earlier. Despite the agreements of a cease-fire, the leadership of Donetsk and Lugansk peoples republic officially recorded eleven cases of violating the cease-fire regime from the side of the Ukrainian military. HAPPENS TODAY IN DNR: Residential blocks and positions of the DPR detachments in the city were subjected to systematic mortar shelling from the Donetsk airport starting from 10am. A residential building was fully destroyed, eight civilians were wounded. At 10:10, from the side of the settlement of Granitnoye the heavy artillery of Ukrainian army performed a strike against the outskirts of Novaya Marinka. At 12:40 a checkpoint of army of the DPR was attacked using small arms and automatic grenade launchers AGS-17 in Trudovskoy district of Donetsk. One militia fighter was wounded. From 13:20, residential blocks of Yunokommunarovsk were subjected to repeated shelling from the artillery positions in Bulavinskoye. Three residential buidings and a store were destroyed. At 13:40, from the side of the settlement of Peski, the bedroom suburbs and the infrastructure objects of Donetsk, and also the positions of the peoples militia squad that block the airport were shelled using tubed artillery. At 13:50, the outskirts of the village of Trudovskoye of Volnovakha district of the DPR were subjected to mortar shelling from the side of Marinka. At 15:10, from the positions located near Mariupol, the residential blocks of the settlement of Oktyabrk were subjected to rafale. The outskirts of the village of Bezymyannoye were subjected to shelling from the same positions, but this time using the MLRS. Two residential buildings were damaged. Civilian casualties are being clarified. HAPPENS TODAY IN LNR: Artillery strikes were carried out in Pervomaisk again.
