....this post is for the not so tech-savvy individuals.... like myself. First and foremost!!...DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DEVICE/SMARTPHONE LYING ON THE HOOD OF YOUR VEHICLE AND ATTEMPT TO DRIVE DOWN THE ROAD... ( in all likelihood it will slide off on the side of the road ......somewhere..!!!. ( gonna go out on a limb here and say that there is damn near a 100% chance that will be the outcome! ..(...no Steve Mcqueen driving required. ).....).. Most lost phones these days can be located these days through GPS tracking.. ( dont wait until it happens to familiarize yourself with the process..the clock is ticking!.. and a lost/misplaced phone may soon get legs/wheels... (...YouTube tutorials on how to locate a lost android device are time consuming.)....)... Bottom line: ..I screwed up! ....phone got picked up by a not so good Samaritan ...location services DID findit ...however by that time, it was cruisin/chillin in the unsavory areas of southwest Bham with its new owners.. ...I said screw it! ....was not into bee-bopping around that particular portion of Bham, trackin a signal in the hopes that some individual whos first name ends in ...shon ..(. or a vowel).... would just hand it over... Went ahead and got another phone. Had to tell that story to tell this un.. ...I swapped carriers ( Virgin Mobile to Verizon)... needed better coverage ... ..everything was good until I tried to re-download my fb app.... Been all of last night ...all of today trying to get that sumb#*ch to load!!!... Up until an hour ago I had not figured it out yet ...had consulted other knowledgeable people ...told them my dilemma. ..received volumns of advice / things to try.... Nothing worked..!!. ...the carpenter in me was screaming ..hit the damn thing with a hammer ... ( and I refrained....but the feeling was there!).... Now back to my original premise about us not so tech-savvy.. ...(.I are one!...) One!!!!. Count em! .......ONE STINKING lower case b that should have been an upper caseB on a password..about put me in the looney bin the past 24 hrs... Unbeknownst to moi !!... the tech works pretty dang good if you use it correctly! ..actually wrote the correct password down(correctly/ case sensitive) and put it somewhere safe, for future reference ...(I do believe I am up for a commendation from Captain Obvious !!)... _____really proud of myself! . ..Us old dogs CAN learn new tricks if beaten properly about the head and shoulders!... (I know this is true! ....I have seen me do it in the past year or so.)...).. My days of tapping on my temple and thinking to myself got er locked in the vault...... have come to a whimpering close. .(..glad to be back on fb.)
