vimeo/90012928 OK... so theres been a lot of talk in the last 15 years about racetracks disappearing in NSW. Amaroo Park, Oran Park and others all bit the dust and fell victim to Sydneys expanding population. NSW now is left with Sydney Motorsport Park and Wakefield park as our only real racetracks, and it is a massive issue for race clubs. Motorcycling NSW is the controlling body of motorcycle sport in NSW (and the creators and owners of the Motorcycle Alliance), and currently owns Nowra Motorplex, an off-road racing facility south of Nowra consisting of motocross tracks and an endure loop. Yesterday we submitted a Development Application to Shoalhaven City Council to not only redevelop the existing facility and include a new Dirt Track, but to also build a brand now Road Racing circuit on the land across the road. This Development Application is the culmination of years of work, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in investment. If we can get the project approved by council, it will be a massive boost to the Shoalhaven community, and to the racing community. The facility will not just be used for racing, but for driver and rider training, and other great community uses with fantastic social outcomes. So what do we need you to do?
