we are so good a putting up shows on sunday mornings to impress and even call it anointed services. My prayer for this coming sunday is that you and me will be so aware of the presence of God, that the only focus of those maybe 30 minutes of prayse and worship and another 50 or so of preaching will be a delight of HIM. It doesnt matter if they are hymns or southern gospel or contemporary, let the result be GOD high and lifted up beyond our preferences and beyond the liking of songs or styles. Remember that we do not sing songs at church because they are pretty or remind us of a time in our lives. We sing songs in church because THEY ARE TRUTH and glorify the risen Savior. So I am getting ready TO WORSHIP this sunday, so I am preparing my heart right now. Exult Him, love Him. Obey Him, sing to him, learn of him, with him. He is more than enough in our lives.
