what MIRACLES are for??? By #Ujima #Jame Each PROPHET was given MIRACLES on the level of the people to whom they were sent. For example, MOSES people were into MAGIC so his miracle was to turn his STAFF into a SNAKE to make the magic of the best magicians look like nothing! JESUS people were DOCTORS and SCRIBES so he was given the ability to HEAL the sick, the BLIND those born with LEPROCY and REVIVE THE DEAD, which was beyond what any DOCTOR could do in his time. Further, he was not taught by their scribes but knew, not only their scriptures but how to apply them in different situations. PROPHET MUHAMMADs people were known for their POETRY (they ELEVATED THE WORD) so he was given a WORD far beyond what their poets could create. His miracle is considered GREATER than the ones of previous prophets because, not only was the Quran guaranteed not to EVER be subjected to CHANGE but it could be witnessed by people in ANY AGE whereas, with the MIRACLES associated with the other prophets, you HAD TO BE THERE to witness them. PURPOSE OF: (As ALLAH (God) says:) And those who have no knowledge say: Why does not ALLAH speak to us (face to face) or why does not a sign come to us? So said the people before them words of similar import. Their hearts are alike, We have indeed made plain the SIGNS for people who BELIEVE with CERTAINTY. - Quran 2:118. And their Prophet (Samuel) said to them: Verily! The sign of His Kingdom is that there shall come to you At-Tabut (a wooden box), wherein is Sakinah (peace and reassurance) from your Lord and a remnant of that which Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron) left behind, carried by the angels. Verily, in this is a SIGN for you if you are indeed BELIEVERS.- 2:248 . . . And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee. And the LORD said unto him, What [is] that in thine hand? And he said, A rod. And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it. And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand: THAT THEY MAY BELIEVE THAT THE LORD GOD of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, HATH APPEARED UNTO THEE. - Exodus 4:1-5
