Micks Tune is an original song recorded in just four hours two days ago. It is a song that I dedicated to me and I arranged coherently with the way in which I face and I love life. The aspects that characterize this piece are the strong connection with africa, passion for the swing and especially the gratitude I feel and will always feel towards the great masters of the past and present. Therefore, the song in which I played the piano, drums, bass guitar and djembe, is structured as follows: the intro, the two and the last A are played with afro jazz rhythm while the B is played with a swing rhythm with the bass line in 4 at the end of the piano improvisation I inserted a vamp in which the djembè performs exchanges with the battery. The final intentionally evokes some of those developed by bill evans for many of his gritty songs.
