Интересная работа в Сан-Франциско для израильтян: The Consulate General of Israel to the Pacific Northwest, in San Francisco, is looking for A Director of Academic Affairs. About the position The Director of Academic Affairs is responsible for the planning and execution of the Consulates work with the academic community throughout the six states in our region. She/he works closely with universities and colleges throughout the Pacific Northwest, serving as a resource for both students and faculty in search of information on Israel. The Director of Academic Affairs offers Consulate resources to supplement research material or curricula, provides information to help develop symposia, and assists in arranging speaking engagements and events both on campus and at the Consulate. The Office of Academic Affairs also manages the Consulates Speakers Bureau, offering knowledgeable speakers on virtually every topic related to Israel. The local speakers are available year round for speaking on campuses or in the community. Additionally, we invite a wide array of leading Israeli scholars, artists and political leaders representing the entire spectrum of academic disciplines to visit our region. The Director of Academic Affairs must be a hardworking self-starter able to produce new ideas, but also capable of taking instruction. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, determined and diligent. Primary Responsibilities * Developing relationships and projects engaging the academic community * Planning and executing events on campuses for visiting Israeli speakers and dignitaries, including Israeli scholars in the U.S. * Identifying potential partnerships between U.S. and Israeli academic institutions * Proactive outreach and work with partner organizations * Coordinating and responding to information requests and campus issues on a daily basis Qualifications * Bachelors degree * Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships * Strong attention to detail, & strong planning and organizing skills * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced and intense work environment. * Knowledge of the Bay Area different communities * Knowledge of Israeli culture, history and society * Ability to be thoughtful and effective in fast-paced, high-pressure situations * Expansive knowledge of academic institutions in the Pacific Northwest is a plus * Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. * We cannot accept applications from dual citizens: Israeli applicants and their spouses must not be in possession of either a green card or US citizenship, nor should they have stayed in the U.S. for more than two years.
