Subject: Filing of false and vexatious complaint by APC Jignesh Patel Respected Sir, 1. It has come to my notice through newspaper reports that one APC Jignesh Patel of Ahmedabad City Police Headquarters, who was assigned to my Personal Security Detail under your orders, has for reasons best known to him, filed a completely false and vexatious complaint against me, with the Ghatlodia Police Station under your jurisdiction. 2. I have learnt from inquiries with other members from my Personal Security Detail that APC Jignesh Patel, who was recently assigned to my Personal Security Detail, has been in the habit of making false and frivolous allegations/representations to avoid unsavory postings in the past. It is also learnt from other members of the Personal security Detail that that APC Jignesh Patel was very reluctant to serve in my Personal Security Detail and has been making repeated requests to the ACP/PI Headquarters to post him for some other duty of his choice. I have been informed that he had also made some telephonic request/intimation to the Ahmedabad City Control Room between 6:00pm and 6:30 pm last evening, requesting for a transfer from Personal Security Detail on some personal ground. 3. As you are aware, I am one of the prime witnesses as regards the role and conduct of the Chief Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and his administration in the in the carnage of 2002 before the Honourable Supreme Court appointed SIT, the Honourable Justice Nanavati-Mehta Commission and the National Commission for Minorities. My Writ Petition (Criminal) No. 135 of 2011 and Writ Petition (Criminal) 204 of 2011 bringing out certain very crucial aspects about the unholy criminal nexus between the State Government of Gujarat and persons accused of heinous offences has been admitted and is pending before the Honourable Supreme Court of India. My Writ Petition PIL No. 216 of 2012 raising very important questions regarding the deliberate non-preservation/destruction of crucial incriminating records pertaining to the carnage of 2002, by the Government of Gujarat, was allowed in part by the Honourable High Court of Gujarat on 18/12/2012 and the Miscellaneous Civil Application No. 3101of 2012 moved by the State of Gujarat in connection with the said PIL is currently pending before the Honourable High Court of Gujarat. 4. It appears from the above facts that, APC Jignesh Patel has filed this completely false and vexatious complaint against me with some ulterior motive; either at the behest of some vested interests in the Government of Gujarat/Political Establishment in Power or of his own personal accord, for serving some hidden agenda. 5. Sir, needless to elaborate, it is one of the basic tenets of Personal Protection to ensure that only willing, disciplined and trained commandos are deployed for Personal Security Detail duties. Posting of reluctant, undisciplined and untrained police personnel like APC Jignesh Patel for my Personal security Detail would cause irreparable jeopardy to my security as well as the safety and security of my family. 6. In view of the above facts, you are requested to kindly ensure that the said false and vexatious complaint is thoroughly and honestly investigated under your close personal supervision. It is also requested that appropriate departmental/legal action, as deemed fit, may be initiated against APC Jignesh Patel in this regard for having abused the process of law by filing an absolutely false and vexatious complaint against me with the motive of accomplishing some extraneous agenda.
