நீங்கள் பரிசுத்தமுள்ளவர்களாக வேண்டுமென்பதே தேவனுடைய சித்தமாயிருக்கிறது(1 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 4:3) அன்பானவர்களே! தேவன் நம்மை அசுத்தத்திற்கல்ல பரிசுத்தத்திற்கே அழைத்திருக்கிறார் (1 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 4:,7) என்று வேதம் கூறுகிறது. ஆனால், உலக வாழ்க்கையில் கண்களின் இச்சை, மாம்சத்தின் இச்சை, ஜீவனத்தின் பெருமை ஆகிவைகள், நம்மை ஆண்டவரோடு நெருங்கி சேரவிடாமல் உலகத்தை நோக்கியே இழுக்கின்றன. இரண்டிற்கும் நடுவாக நம்முடைய உள்ளம் தடுமாறுகிறது. பாவத்தினின்று விடுதலையான அனுபவத்தோடு நின்று விடாமல் பரிசுத்தத்தின் மேல் பரிசுத்தம் அடைந்து, நாம் பரம ராஜ்யம் அடையவேண்டும் என்பதே நம் பரமபிதாவின் சித்தம்! நாம் இனி குழந்தைகளாயிராமல் வேதவசனம் கூறும் சத்தியங்களை கைக்கொண்டு கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் வளரவேண்டும் (எபேசியர் 4:14,15). வேத வசனங்களை எவ்வளவு கருத்தாய் வாசிக்கிறோமோ அவ்வளவாய் நம்முடைய வாழ்க்கை பரிசுத்தமடையும். ஏனென்றால், வேத வசனங்கள் எத்தனை அதிகமாய் ஆழமாய் நமக்குள் பதிகிறதோ அத்தனைக்கதிகமாய் நாம் தேவனுக்குள் நிலைக்கிறோம். காற்றினால் அசையும் நாணலைப்போல வேறுபட்ட உபதேசங்களைக் குறித்து இப்படியும் அப்படியுமாக நிலையற்ற வாழ்க்கை வாழாமல், எத்தகைய காற்று நம் வாழ்வில் வீசினாலும் கர்த்தருக்குள் நிலைத்திருக்கிற அனுபவத்தை கர்த்தர் அதன்மூலம் தருவார். பவுல் தன் வாழ்க்கையைப் பற்றி நிச்சயமாய் கூறினது போன்று நாமும், நல்ல போராட்டத்தைப் போராடினேன், ஓட்டத்தை முடித்தேன், விசுவாசத்தை காத்துக்கொண்டேன்; இதுமுதல் நீதியின் கிரீடம் எனக்காக வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது; நீதியுள்ள நியாயாதிபதியாகிய கர்த்தர் அந்நாளிலே அதை எனக்கு தந்தருளுவார் (2 தீமோத்தேயு 4:7,8) என்று மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் கூற, கர்த்தர் நமக்கும் உதவிச்செய்வார். ஒரு பெண் ஒரு நாள் மிகுந்த கண்ணீரோடு என்னைத் தேடி வந்தாள். ஆண்டவரின் அன்பினால் நிறைந்தவளாய் அவளை அணைத்துக்கொண்டு, அவள் மனக்கலக்கத்திற்கு காரணம் என்ன என்று வினவினேன். ? அம்மா, நீங்கள் என் தாயைப்போன்று இருக்கிறீர்கள். உங்களிடம் என் மனதைத் திறந்து சொல்ல விரும்புகிறேன். நான் ஒரு கிறிஸ்தவள்தான். என் சூழ்நிலை பாவத்திற்கு நேராய் என்னை இழுத்துவிட்டது. நான் திருமணமாகாதவள்! என் பெற்றோர் வறுமையினிமித்தமாக எனக்கு ஏற்ற வயதில் திருமணம் செய்து வைக்காமல் விட்டு விட்டார்கள். என்னுடன் பணிபுரியும் திருமணமான ஒருவருடன் எனக்கு பழக்கம் ஏற்பட்டது. அது தவறு என்று தெரிந்தபொழுதிலும், என் மனம் என்னையுமறியாமல், அந்த வழியிலே என்னை செல்லத் தூண்டிவிட்டது. இன்று, ஆழமான படுகுழியிலிருந்து மீளமுடியாமல் தவிக்கிறேன். இந்த பாவ வாழ்க்கையைவிட்டு, பரிசுத்த வாழ்வு வாழ இனி எனக்கு வழி உண்டா? நீங்கள் என்னை பரிசுத்தமான வாழ்வில் நடத்துவீர்களா? என்று கதறினாள். ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் அன்பைப் பற்றியும், அவருடைய மனதுருக்கத்தைப் பற்றியும், பாவியான ஸ்திரீகள் பலரையும் தம் பாசத்தினால் அவர் மன்னித்து, அவர்களுக்கு புதுவாழ்வு அளித்தது பற்றியும் வேதத்திலிருந்து எடுத்துக்கூறினேன். புதிய வேதபுத்தகம் ஒன்றை அவளுக்கு பரிசாகக்கொடுத்து, அனுதினமும் அதை படித்து தன் மனபாரங்களை அவரிடம் அன்னாளைபோன்று ஊற்றும்படி கூறி, ஜெபத்துடன் அனுப்பினேன். ஒருவாரம் சென்று மறுபடியும் அவள் என்னை பார்க்க வந்தாள். இந்த முறை அவள் உள்ளத்தில் முன்பிருந்த கலவரமின்றி சமாதானத்தோடு காணப்பட்டாள். அப்படி பலமுறை என்னிடம் வந்தாள். ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் வேதபுத்தகத்திலிருந்து கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தைகளை அவளோடு பகிர்ந்துகொண்டேன். மிகக்குறுகிய காலத்தில் அவள் வாழ்க்கை மலர ஆரம்பித்தது. வேதவாக்கியங்களை ஆராய்ந்து பாருங்கள்; அவைகளால் உங்களுக்கு நித்தியஜீவன் உண்டென்று எண்ணுகிறீர்களே, என்னைக் குறித்து சாட்சி கொடுக்கிறவைகளும் அவைகளே (யோவான் 5:39). எனக்கன்பானவர்களே! இந்த உலக வாழ்வு ஒரே ஒரு முறைதான். பின்பு ஒருநாள் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பில் ஆண்டவரின் முன்பு நிற்கவேண்டுமே! பரிசுத்த வாழ்வு வாழ்வீர்களானால் பயமின்றி, உங்கள் பரமபிதாவின் பாதத்தில் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் நிற்கலாமே! போனது போகட்டும்! இன்று, இந்த நிமிடத்தில் நீங்கள் இருக்கும் இடத்தில் முழங்காற்படியிடுங்கள்! உங்கள் குறைவுகளை ஆண்டவரின் பாதத்தில் அறிக்கையிடுங்கள்; அவருடைய தூய இரத்தத்தால் உங்களைக் கழும்புடி கேளுங்கள். நீங்கள் பரிசுத்தமுள்ளவர்களாகவேண்டுமென்பதே தேவனுடைய சித்தமாயிருக்கிறது (1 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 4:3). அவர் அப்படியே தம் திரு இரத்தத்தால் உங்கள் பாவங்கள் அனைத்தையும் கழுவுவார்; உங்களை பரிசுத்தமாக்குவார். அதன்பிறகு இதே உலகில் பரிசுத்தமாய் வாழ அவருடைய வார்த்தைகள் உங்களுக்கு உதவி செய்யும்; உங்களை பெலப்படுத்தி வழிநடத்தும். ஜெபம்: என் அன்புள்ள பிதாவே, நான் உம்முடைய பிள்ளை. நான் கேட்பதையெல்லாம் நீர் எனக்கு தருவீர் என்ற விசுவாசம் என்னை என்றும் நிறைக்க உதவி செய்தருளும். பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரால் எப்பொழுதும் என்னை நிரப்பி நான் பாவத்தினால் வழிதப்பிப் போகாதபடி காத்துக்கொள்ளும். நான் பரிசுத்த வாழ்க்கையை வாழும்படி என்னை பெலப்படுத்தும். இயேசு என்ற இனிய நாமத்தில் இந்த ஜெபத்தை விசுவாசத்தோடு ஏறெடுக்கிறேன் பிதாவே, ஆமென். It is Gods will that you should be sanctified (1 Thessalonians 4:3) Dearly beloved, The Bible says, “It is Gods will that you should be sanctified…For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life” (I Thessalonians 4:3,7). But the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life draw us towards the world and prevent us from drawing closer to the Lord. Caught between the two, our heart fumbles. It is the will of the Father that we become more and more holy and not just stopping with the experience of getting delivered from sin. The Bible says, “Then we will no longer be infants…Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ” (Ephesians 4:14,15). The more we read the Scriptures, the more holy our life shall be since the more the Word goes into our heart, the more we shall be established in God. Through this, He will give us the experience of abiding in Him even amidst stormy winds in our lives, and not living a wavering life of getting tossed to and fro, carried about with every wind of doctrine like a reed. The Lord will help us also to declare with joy like Paul who said about his life with conviction, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day” (II Timothy 4:7,8). Once, a lady came to me with tears. Moved by the love of God, I hugged her and asked her the reason for her trouble. She said, “You are like my mother and I want to open up my heart to you. I am a Christian but my situation drew me to a dreadful sin. I am unmarried and because of poverty my parents could not get me married off at the right time. I became friendly with one of my colleagues. I knew it was wrong but still my heart pulled me in the wrong path. Today, I am unable to come out of this deadly pit. Is there any way for me to come out of this pit and live a holy life?” I explained to her about the love and compassion of Lord Jesus and how He forgave the sinful women in the Bible and gave them new life. I also gave her a Bible and advised her to read it daily and pour out her heart to God like Hannah. I sent her back with prayers. After a week, she again came to see me and this time she seemed to be peaceful. She started meeting me regularly. Each time, I expounded on the Word of God to her and within a short span, her life began to blossom. Lord Jesus said, “You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me” (John 5:39). We live our life only once after which we need to stand before the Lord on the Day of Judgment! If you live a holy life, you can stand before the Father joyously! Let bygones be bygones. Today, right now, kneel down! Confess your sins and faults at the feet of the Lord! Ask Him to cleanse you with His precious blood! He will cleanse you accordingly; He will make you holy. After that, the Word of God will help you to live a holy life in this world. It will strengthen you and lead you. The Bible says, “It is Gods will that you should be sanctified” (I Thessalonians 4:3). It is God’s will that you should grow in holiness. Hence surrender your life to God to lead a holy life. He will sanctify You by His Word and help you to lead a spotless life. Furthermore, He will bless you with the reward of eternal life. Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus, It is your will for me to live a holy life. I confess my sins at your feet. Please cleanse me with your precious blood. Give me the grace to abide in your Word. Sanctify me by your Word and help me to lead a spotless life. Bless me with the reward of eternal life. In Your matchless name I pray. Amen.
